How to add SOFI Bot on Discord? [Step-by-Step]

Pre-requisites

Here are the prerequisites you should meet before adding SOFI Bot to your Discord server:

1. A Discord account: You must have a Discord account to add SOFI Bot to your server. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for free on the Discord website.
2. Administrator access to the server: To add a bot to a Discord server, you must have administrator access to the server. If you don't have this permission, you will need to contact the server owner to grant it to you.
3. A server to add the bot to: You need a Discord server where you want to add SOFI Bot. If you don't already have a server, you can create one by clicking the plus icon next to the server list in Discord.
4. Bot permission: To add a bot to a server, you must have the "Manage Server" permission. If you don't have this permission, you will need to request it from the server owner.
5. A stable internet connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection before adding SOFI Bot to your server. A weak or unstable internet connection can cause issues during the bot setup process.
6. A web browser: You need a web browser to access the Discord Developer Portal and set up SOFI Bot.

 

Steps to add SOFI Bot to your Server

Step 1. Open your Discord app in browser

You have to open your Discord account in your browser since you need to invite the bot in your server.

 

Step 2.  Visit SOFI Bot’s page on Top.gg

You can search on Google to look for the official link of SOFI Bot or on Top.gg

Top.gg is a search-and-discovery website, where anyone can list their Discord bots, servers, or DAOs.

 

Step 3. Invite SOFI Bot to your Server

After visiting the bot's Top.gg page. You will see two buttons, "Invite" and "Vote". Since you first need to invite the bot on your server, click on "Invite".

Note: You need to be atleast a bot master to invite the bot to your target server.

 

Step 4. Selecting your Server

After inviting the bot, you will be then redirected to this page asking you to add the bot on the server of your choice. In this instance, I will be adding the SOFI Bot to my test server, GoLinuxCloud Test Server.

After selecting the server of your choice, click "Continue".

 

Step 5. Authorizing SOFI Bot to your Server

The bot will ask you permissions to access the server. You don't have to worry because you can change these permissions later.

 

Scroll down and click "Authorize". This will make the bot receive all the permissions that they asked you to confirm.

 

Step 6. Completing the Captcha Challenge

After authorizing the bot, you now need to complete a captcha challenge to prove that you're not a bot. Put a check on the box and complete the channel then you're good to go.

 

You will then be prompted that you have successfully invited the bot into your server and that you can close or refresh the tab now.

Step 8. Verify SOFI

After you've successfully added SOFI to your Discord server, you still need to verify on their main website, you need to type in sregister on any text channel. Then click on the link that appears.

On the main website, you will need to complete the captcha challenge to verify.

After this, you can now use the SOFI Bot commands on your Discord server.
