How to add Stickers on Discord Server? [SOLVED]

Discord

Discord is a popular communication platform that allows people to create their own servers to connect with others who share similar interests. One of the unique features of Discord is the ability to add stickers to servers.

In this article, we will discuss what stickers are on Discord, why you would want to add them to a server, how to add them and the requirement needed to upload a sticker on Discord.

What are Stickers on Discord?

Stickers on Discord are a type of visual communication tool that users can use to express themselves in chats, messages, and on servers. They are similar to emojis, but are usually more detailed, often depicting characters or scenes. Stickers can be either still images or animated, and they can be used to add some extra personality and fun to your conversations.

Discord stickers are not limited to any particular theme or category. They can range from animals to food, to popular TV shows, movies, or games. Users can upload their own stickers or use the ones that are already available on the platform.

Why do you add Stickers on a Discord server?

Stickers can serve several purposes. Firstly, they help to make conversations more engaging and interesting. Stickers can convey emotions and reactions more effectively than text or emojis, which can sometimes be misinterpreted or misunderstood.

Secondly, adding stickers to a server can create a more personalized and unique environment. By using stickers that relate to the server's theme or community, users can make the server feel more welcoming and inclusive.

Finally, stickers can be a way to inject some humor or levity into conversations. They can be used to make jokes, express sarcasm, or simply add some fun to the chat.

File requirement of the Stickers used in Discord server

Discord has certain requirements for the size and format of stickers that can be uploaded to a server. The size of stickers used in Discord servers must be smaller than 256kb in size, and they must be either in PNG, JPG, or GIF format. Discord also suggests that stickers should have a transparent background and a resolution of at least 128x128 pixels for the best results.

Any emoji uploaded to your server must meet the following requirements:

  • File type: Use either a JPEG, PNG, or GIF image.
  • File size: 256 KB. If your emoji’s a bit bigger, we’ll go ahead and compress it.
  • Dimensions: 128x128 is best. Bigger or smaller will work, but 128x128 is just right.

If the stickers you want to use do not meet these requirements, they can be resized or converted to the correct format using a variety of free online tools.

Conclusion

In conclusion, stickers on Discord are a great way to add some personality and fun to conversations on a server. They can help to convey emotions and reactions more effectively, create a more personalized environment, and add some humor to chats. It's worth noting that stickers can also be a great way to build community on a server. When used appropriately, stickers can help create a shared sense of identity and belonging among server members. By uploading stickers that relate to the server's theme or interests, users can contribute to a more welcoming and inclusive environment. Adding stickers to a server is a simple process, and by following Discord's guidelines for size and format, you can easily upload your own stickers to enhance your Discord experience.
