Discord is a popular chat app with millions of users worldwide. It's used for anything from gaming to work communication, and it's excellent for development groups. It is a fantastic tool for gamers and other online users to communicate. It's also a terrific method to stay in touch with distant family and friends. It is a well-liked chat platform that has swiftly established itself as a mainstay in the gaming and online communication communities since it is simple to use, free, and packed with features that programmers will find valuable.
One of the useful feature of Discord is the Server ID. It is a unique ID that is exclusive to your server and isn't identical to any server ID that exists. It is mostly used by developers for bot development. Another thing is that whenever you're reporting something to Discord Support, they usually ask for the Server ID, not the server's name, since there are multiple servers having the same name.
Find Discord Server ID
A unique Discord ID, a 19-digit identifier linked to your server, is assigned to each Discord server. Discord IDs aren't just for servers; each message and user also have their own individual IDs. Although it's unlikely that you'll ever need to know your Discord ID, it's a useful skill to acquire just in case.
Here's how to find Discord Server ID using the desktop application and mobile app.
First, you have to enable Developer Mode, here's how.
Pre-requisite: Enable Developer Mode on PC
Step 1. Open your Discord app
To start, open your Discord app or browser and sign in. You can open either your web app or your desktop application. Both offers the same way on how to enable developer mode on Discord.
Step 2. Go to User Settings
After opening your Discord account you will see on the bottom left side of the screen, there is your username and your profile picture. Beside that you will see a cog logo that is labelled "User Settings". Click on it.
Step 3. Go to Advanced
After entering the User Settings, you will see all the settings that you can change on your account. Below the App Settings category, click on "Advanced"
Step 4. Toggle Developer Mode On
You can toggle the Developer Mode On or Off, depending if it's already turned on in your device.
Pre-requisite: Enable Developer Mode on Mobile Phone
Step 1. Open your Discord app
To start, open your Discord app or browser and sign in. You als have to install the latest version of the Discord app on Mobile, Android or IOS Devices.
Step 2. Go to your Account Settings
On the bottom right part of the screen, you will see a circle with your profile picture on it, click on it.
You will now see the list of all the status that you can change into. Under App Settings, go to Appearance.
Step 3. Enable/Disable Developer Mode
After entering Appearance, you will see options and below the Advanced category, toggle Developer Mode on. The blue mark means that it's turned on, if you want to turn it off, you can toggle it off.

Get your Discord Server ID on Windows/Mac PC
After enabling Developer Mode, you can now look for the Server ID. Here's a detailed step by step guide on how to do so.
Look up for a server that you want to get the Server ID from. You can get this without being a Moderator or an Administrator. For this instance, I will be trying to get the Server ID of our test server, GoLinuxCloud Test Server.
Once you find the server, right click its icon, you will see all the menu that you can do with that specific server.
On the bottom part of the menu, you will see a newly added "Copy ID" option. Click on it.
You can now paste it on notepad or any writing application and use the Server ID for future use.
Get your Discord Server ID on Android/IOS Devices
Look up for a server that you want to get the Server ID from. You can get this without being a Moderator or an Administrator. For this instance, I will be trying to get the Server ID of our test server, GoLinuxCloud Test Server.
Long press the icon of the server to reveal all the menu that you can access.
Click on "More Options"
You will now see everything that you can manage on that server depending on your role. On the bottom part of the menu, you will see a "Copy ID" option. Click on it.
You can now paste it on notes or any writing software on your phone and use the Server ID for future use.
