How to add/remove slowmode on Discord? [SOLVED]

When slow mode is enabled, users in the channel will be limited to how often they can send messages. How to enable Slowmode on Discord Channels?

Here's the step by step guide on how to enable slowmode on Discord channels of your choice.

Step 1. Open your Discord account

You have to open your Discord account and have administrative permission to edit the channels in a Discord server. For this example, we will be using our test server, GoLinuxCloud Test Server.

Step 2. Choose a Channel

After entering the server of your choice that you have administrative permissions on, select the channel that you want to put the slowmode on.

Step 3. Edit the Channel

You can either choose to edit the channel using the cog logo beside the channel name or the "Edit Channel" link below the channel's chat.

Step 4. Overview and Slowmode

You will now see the option settings for that specific channel. Under "Overview" you will see on the right side that there's an option for slowmode with the ruler type of setting. You can set the amount of time using this by clicking on your desired amount of time.

Step 5. Save Changes

After selecting the amount of time you want the slowmode in, you can now save this setting by scroll down and clicking on "Save Changes".

You have now successfully put a slowmode on that channel. Note that each channel can have different set amount of time for slowmode. Example, your general channel can have 15 seconds of slowmode and other public channels can have 5 seconds or so.

Step 6. User's End

The user will now see this when they chat on that channel that you set the slowmode on. Since I set up the slowmode on 15 seconds, it will appear on the lower right side of the chat box.
